Center Point is an integrated wellness center on Long Island, in the New York City area, in the town of Huntington. There are local eateries within walking distance of the seminar site, and many more, and nice shops available by short car ride. The beach is not far.

Airports/Ground Transportation

The closest major airport is LaGuardia , about an hour away. The very closest airport is MacArthur Airport in Islip, but it is a local, small airport, about half hour drive on surface streets and highways. You do not save that much on transport fare with MacArthur versus LaGuardia (about $20 for a one way trip to Huntington) and you may have more plane changes to get into MacArthur, but if you are renting a car and driving from the airport, the drive is easier from MacArthur than from LaGuardia.

If you do not want to rent a car, you can fly into JFK and take the Air Train http://mta.info/mta/airtrain.htm to the Long Island RR's Jamaica station, a 15 minute ride, according to the Air Train web site. At the Jamaica station you can change to a Long Island RR train to Huntington, about a 45 minute ride.

In this scenario you will want to stay at the only lodging within close range of the seminar site, the Chalet Motor Inn (about 1.5 miles, which is about a 3 minute cab ride to Center Point).

Train from New York City/Cab

From Bridges. (You are about 35 miles from Center Point after the bridge.) From the Whitestone Bridge or the Throgs Neck Bridge take the Cross Island Pkwy South to the Grand Central Pkwy East. This becomes the Northern State Pkwy. Stay left on Northern State when the road splits with Meadowbrook Pkwy. Follow the directions from the Northern State. Alternate route is Long Island Expressway East.

From the Northern State Parkway. Get off Deer Park Ave (Route 231) exit 42 North. Immediately bear left at the fork onto Route 35 (Park Ave.). Drive about 10 - 15 minutes, continuing on after passing over RR tracks. Make a right turn onto East Main Street (25A) at the Mobile Station. Drive only a few minutes. 202 East Main Street will be the long two story brown building on the right, immediately after Dunkin Donuts. The Chalet Motor Inn is 1.5 miles down the road on the left.

From the Long Island Expressway. Get off Deer Park Ave (Route 231) exit 51 North. Take Deer Park Ave north. Bear left at the fork immediately after you pass the Northern State Pkwy. Follow directions above.

From the Southern State Parkway. Get off Deer Park Ave (Route 231) exit 30 North. Take Deer Park Ave north. Bear left at the fork immediately after you pass the Northern State Pkwy. Follow directions above.
