"THE LABYRINTH SERIES" A Path of Personal Transformation for Cancer Patients & Survivors

This program includes a workbook with a set of 16 guided imagery meditations on CDs to be used at home for personal growth and healing. We suggest that participants are involved in a supervised nutritional program that specializes in the clinical evaluation and treatment of patients with Cancer. An individualized clinical nutritional program is available at Center Point. What is a Labyrinth? A Labyrinth is defined as a walking meditation, or a spiritual tool designed as a means of coming to one's spiritual center. Viewed from exterior angles, it appears complicated and bewildering but, once experienced, is found to be a single pathway that winds inextricably towards its center and requires you simply to take the same route out. What is the Labyrinth Series? The Labyrinth Series is 8 three hour weekly group sessions of self-discovery and healing for Cancer patients and survivors who wish to take their work to a deeper level. It is designed to lead you on a journey of self discovery and transformation that takes you out of your confusion and fear, and provides a path for deeper understanding of the factors that have created Cancer. This journey will help you access the mechanisms within yourself that can lead you towards a deeper level of healing. The series utilizes an integrative approach to healing that includes education, guided meditation, psychological exploration, nutritional counseling, and group support and process. It includes a workbook and 16 guided imagery CDs to be used at home, in-between sessions. Through education, personal exploration, and guided imagery, we integrate the healing power of the mind, body and spirit to find our way out of the maze of confusing factors to a clear center point within ourselves. Is Cancer Your Turning Point? Crisis can provide the foundation from which we decide to explore the physical, emotional and spiritual factors that make up our lives. It is this exploration that can lead to deeper and more profound changes. Patrick Quillin, PhD, RD, CNS, Beating Cancer with Nutrition Irene Siegel, LCSW, is co-director of Center Point, where she conducts her clinical psychotherapy practice. Ms. Siegel graduated with a master's degree in Social Work from Columbia University and has been in private practice since 1980. She received advanced clinical training from the Long Island Institute for Mental health, and for 12 years was a clinical supervisor with the New York State Mental Health System. She has successfully integrated Native American Healing and other spiritual disciplines with her conventional psychotherapy training. Ms. Siegel is a frequent speaker and lecturer within her field on the relationship of the body, mind, and spirit in the treatment process. She is author of the book Eyes of the Jaguar. Lenny Izzo, DC, is co-director of Center Point, where he conducts his chiropractic and clinical nutrition practice. He received his doctorate from the New York Chiropractic College, and has been practicing since 1980. Dr. Izzo has a broad background in integrated health care with a special interest in clinical nutrition. He teaches and lectures on the subject of nutritional psychology, understanding the "issues in the tissues" and has made numerous appearances on television and radio. His clinical experience of integrating conventional healthcare with advanced clinical nutrition, spiritual practices and other holistic modalities make for a more effective and comprehensive approach in treating the "whole person."
